Andrea Farmakakis, co-piloted by Giovanni Bernacchini, will attempt to main- tain second place in the FIA EHRC standings in the Drive the Legend Ford Escort MKII.
The Rally Elba in Tuscany will host the next round of the European Historic Rally Championship.
The roads will take in the island’s classic special stages, passing through Capoliveri-Innamorata, Volterrano-Cavo, and moving on to the Due Mari stage, which crosses Monte Perone.
The inaugural stage of the rally will be held at night and will be the first SS for the 153
crews registered in Capoliveri. Drive the Legend is competing for the first time on Elba with its crew, one of its Ford Escort MKIIs, driven by Farmakakis and Bernacchini.
This is the driver’s statement:
Andrea Farmakakis: “This is our first time on Elba since the Drive The Legend project began.
Last year, when we were competing in the European Historic Championship, it wasn’t part of the program, so we’ve been waiting a year for this moment. We can’t wait to get started and drive on these technical roads that will test the brakes and mechanical of our car.”
Giovanni Bernacchini, back from his racing commitments in the United Arab Emirates, will be back alongside Farmakakis in this rally.
The event can be followed through the championship’s official social media channels and those of Drive the Legend on Facebook and Instagram.
Drive the Legend faces a busy month with the recently concluded Acropolis Rally in Greece, the ongoing event on Elba Island, and the following weekend’s Rallylegend in San Marino.
