Drive The Legend: A Remarkable First Year in Historic Rallying

As 2024 comes to a close, Drive The Legend celebrates an extraordinary year defined by passion, growth, and unforgettable achievements. From the iconic roads of Monte Carlo to the challenging terrains of Greece, this debut season has been an exciting journey that showcased the team’s commitment to celebrating the rich tradition of historic rallying.

The season saw Andrea Farmakakis, joined by co-driver Giovanni Bernacchini, take on some of the most prestigious events in the historic rally calendar. Starting with the technical challenges of the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique and moving on to the engaging stages of the Rally Costa Brava, Farmakakis demonstrated determination at every turn. The gentleman driver then shone on the winding roads of the Rally Costa Smeralda, before conquering the breathtaking landscapes of the Tour de Corse Historique, a demanding event divided into five stages over five days of competition. The season concluded with the Acropolis Historic Rally, where Farmakakis and Bernacchini tackled the rugged terrain and challenges of Greece, embodying the spirit of Drive The Legend.

This year also marked the return of Angelo Campedelli to competition after 17 years away from the rally scene. Paired with Paolo Garavaldi at the Halloween Ronde, Campedelli brought a touch of nostalgia and undeniable skill back to the stages. Meanwhile, Simone Campedelli and Tania Canton delivered a standout performance at the Madeira Rally Legend, showcasing the agility and capability of the Ford Escort MK2 on some of the world’s most challenging asphalt rally routes.

Reflecting on this remarkable first year, team manager Angelo Campedelli shared:
“This first season has been an incredible journey, filled with legendary rallies and significant growth for the team. Competing in such iconic events has been both a challenge and an honor. For next year, our aim is to focus more on the European Historic Rally Championship, embracing the unique character and history of these prestigious stages.”

Looking ahead to 2025, Drive The Legend is ready to tackle an ambitious calendar that includes the Rally Costa Brava, Rally Antibes, Acropolis Rally, Rally Elba, Rally Fafe, and a sixth event yet to be confirmed.

A key objective for the upcoming year will be the debut of the second car, an important step to strengthen its presence in historic rallying and take on new challenges. This milestone represents a significant evolution for Drive The Legend, aiming to solidify its role in the international historic rally scene.

With renewed energy and a clear vision, the team is determined to build on the successes of 2024 and continue celebrating the golden era of rallying.

As Drive The Legend prepares for its next chapter, the team wishes to express its gratitude to its drivers, co-drivers, partners, and fans. This journey would not have been possible without their support and shared passion for rallying.
